Default What would happen 2 midi synced computers and 1 crashes?

A friend and I are planning a DJ night with 2 Macbooks synced via an ethernet crossover cable. I was wondering, if one computer or software being used in it crashes what effect would have on the other computer? I assume you'll loose sync but I wonder if it'll crash the other software being used. Like Traktor on one computer and Ableton on the other all synced up.

Pull out the ethernet crossover cable during a set and you'll know I guess

I did a lot of gigs where i played synced with another mac. You always have a midi-master and a midi-slave so if the slave crashes just nothing happens, if the master crashes the slave looses its time signal and continues to play a the current tempo.
By the way..Macs don't need crossover cables you can just use a normal ethernet cable.

Ah, cool. Thanks. One of my thinking of bringing two laptops aside from more options is that if one goes down that I can still keep things running on the other. I assume there would be some audio hiccup re-establishing sync once the other computer/program is back up and running?
