Cool VIC - Get Silly [Dubstep Remix] (DJTT Exclusive!)

hey guys, i have a track i want to get your input on once again before i send it out to the world. i find that you guys give some really good feedback so i'm opening it up to all the DJTT soundcloud users. i've added some of you that are following me, or i'm following you, but if you're not on the list, just send me a link to your soundcloud page, or even just your email and it'll show up in your inbox.

with that said, here is a dubstep remix of the rap tune "get silly" by VIC. i'm calling it rapstep

any criticism/ideas are encouraged, thanks guys.

Let just say first that I despise the original version of this song.

But I really like what you did to it. I think dubstep and rap/hip-hop blend well together for reasons that are obvious. Your synths sounded great.

    Good job man.

nah i never liked the original myself either, but i always liked the beat, which is why i decided to remix it.

yeah i feel like rap, hip hop, and dubstep all have similar roots in music, so they just work together. and growing up in atlanta you're kind of immersed in it. thanks for the feedback though brother. (i'm getting you those stems soon btw :P just have to get hosting worked out :P)

sorry that dont help much but it dubstep there needs to something more in there man. make that backing noise a bit more dirty and loud and drop the vocal down a bit. the kick and the snare are keep dubstep rolling make them more defined but its your track.
errr i dont know who am i ..............

nah dude I feel you. I appreciate the honesty though. I feel that it's missing a certain feel to it that I envision in my head but can't seem to properly translate to paper. the hardest part is boosting the elements I think should stand out while maintaining the balance of the mix and not drowning everything out. I'm considering doing an overhaul of this piece because of it.
