    Default Is my VCI-100 broken?

    Hi,

Some of the buttons on my VCI 100 have suddenly stopped working. I have update to firmware 1.3 and have the SE template. Initially everything worked fine. Now, the four black buttons that are assigned to turn on the fx have stopped working. When they are pressed the red data LED doesn't light up.
The same thing happens with the 'Drop' button on the left deck.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

    Thanks

if it's the 4 buttons i think you're talking about, one of mine has become a bit 'picky' about when it wants to work - luckily after remapping things it is now a very rarely used function.

however, as with most problems, it might be map related? if the map looks fine then maybe there's a problem with 'tech-gubbinz' under the faceplate?

BradCee, thanks for the reply. I have tried a number of different maps from various sites to determine whether it was the DJTT mapping or the buttons themselves. Looks like it's the buttons themselves that have just suddenly stopped working. Not technically educated enough to fix the problem so will just have to switch on the fx with a keyboard hotkey or something.

    Cheers anyway

Open up the VCI and make sure that the cable you disconnected to flash the VCI is all the way in.

Cheers JessC, right on the money. Working fine again now.
