Default New OXY 8 mapping installed, but traktor wont set/stick to it

Okay guys, I just got the software installed, went throught enigma and all that jazz, but when i go into the traktor controller settings, and import the TSI, and select to use it, and i hit close, the controller doesnt work!

when i go back into the settings, it has just defaulted back to my generic keyboard mapping! its like it wont stick!

Am i missing something? some step? or I'm just a total noob?

whatever it may be.... PLEASE HELPPPP!
All I have to do is play music, and make sure it is fist pumpin material.

is it the generic keyboard mapping or generic midi mapping which is displayed?

Mine's all working fine and dandy, few tweaks to the mapping to make the FX work, but nothing major!

    bad luck dude..

Okay, Ill go into preferences, hit the import button, import the TSI, it looks as it should, all the button mappings are there, input = all ports, output = all ports, then i click close, try to use the controller...NOTHING!, it shows me that midi data is being sent, but nothing is moving, i go back into preferences to see that my mapping has reverted to my generic keyboard settings! WTF! its like it doesnt want to stick!

to make sure it was the TSI and not the controller, i started a custom map and mapped deck a play to the same key that ean had it as, and hit close...worked fine!

    This is killing me!

when you import the TSI, in the midi setting menu, if you drop down the generic keyboard tab and go to generic midi - does that come up with all the peramters and assignments?

    yes sir.

    hell, i've even reinstalled it!

    Ean? help? hehe.

    Edit - Here's something that'll throw you for a loop/ maybe help?

I took the mapping for Deck A - Play/Pause on Ean's TSI, hit the learn button, and mapped it to the same button as ean had set as before, hit close, and low and fucking behold....IT WORKED!

    Now I'm REALLY confused!

octave - 0 (check it by going the the 'octave' up and down buttons, the number comes up on screen)

and bank.. should have been sorted in the enigma stage, but if you fiddle through clicking 'select' and '+' & '-' buttons - it might be a mile off.. make sure you're on P01 to P09, and not P10 (as that is still set at general midi)

see if that works for you - otherwise i'm totally stumped mate (plus, going to hit the sack - so hope it works for you dude! )
