Default Question about Traktor with a Xone DB2 built in sound card

I just got a Xone DB2, I decided to use the built in sound card in the Xone DB2. Is it ok to run Traktor master output at 0-DB. Im no where near the red. I use to run it at -6db with my audio ten, but when I do the same thing with the xone db2 my mixes come out low while recording my mix. I have turned up Trakor's gain to plus 8 and still come out low. The overall master volume is nice and loud out my speakers, but when I listen to the recorded mix it comes out low.

Try not to boost any gains in Traktor, but running the master at 0dB is fine.

I've found that running the channel gains on the DB2 around half way or a little higher when on USB will give you decent levels. Are you recording back into Traktor or into an external unit?

I use the xone db2 gains, I never touch the Traktor channel gains, the only thing I have switch was moving the master output on traktor to 0-DB

You can have Traktor's Main Out and Record Gain settings as high as you like, as long as there's no clipping (red bars). You might need to turn up the DB2 channel gains if it's still too quiet and you're not getting close to maximum on Traktor's mix recorder.

Otherwise just increase the volume of the recording files afterwards.

the maximum output i can get out of the xone db2 seems to be around -12db. i increase the gain of the wav file afterwards.

sometimes i have recorded at +6db on traktor's mix recorder, it still comes thru very quiet. i guess these mixers just have a lot of headroom.

What levels are you getting on your channel VU meter LEDs?

if i clip on the xone db2, the peak LED which is above one that says +6db, then the recorded source in ableton or traktor will be at -12db.

is that consistent with your results, OP?

The DB2 has an internal Record Gain in the settings menu too.
