I am also after Monitors purely for DJ'ing nothing else those Truths i take it would be perfect? also heard good things about the PRK's these any good, prefer powered as I really don't want an amp.
If you can, try to listen to as many pairs in your price range. Studio monitors are something that sounds different to everyone. Some people may like the sound of krk rockits, others would perfer the sound of the m-audio bx8a. For me i say record a cd that has music your familiar with and bring it into GC or other music store and just listen. Pesonally i would save your money and get something decent so you don't have to look at upgrading anytime soon.
