Default vci 100,ni audio 4 and laptop Connectivity

    Hey,

Relative newbie here so if this has been answered in another thread apologies. I have a laptop, NI audio 4 DJ and a VCI100. Can anyone tell me the best way to connect these? Am I connecting the laptop and vci via usb and the soundcard and laptop also by usb? I dont have a power lead for the vestax so this will be powered by the laptop. Will both the vestax and the audio 4 being powered by the laptop cause power issues?

    Any help appreciated, thanks!

You shouldn't have any problems with that.

@jamesblunt (is that your real name??), if we couldn't plug in a sound card and controller at the same time how would controllerism be possible?

lol, yes, that's what I'm saying. I'd be surprised if that caused problems.

You might want a powered usb hub just in case. They also seem run abit better with the hub

I don't see what everyone's worried about. In at least 95% of cases this won't cause any problems at all, it's only if you have a relatively cheap laptop with an underpowered USB board that you'll get problems.

If that IS the case, then yes, use a powered USB hub and you'll be fine.
