Default Can't drag and drop files into decks

    Hi,

since I reinstalled my System (Windows 7) I notice some very strange behaviour using Traktor 2.6.8: I am not able to drag and drop mp3 files into decks. I just get the usual 'Warning sign' icon, that you get when you can't drop something for some reason. Of course, using the traktor browser works fine, but from time to time there might be a spontaneous track idea that isn't in my library.

Did this occure to anyone? I already searched the forums here, asked google, but I didn't find a proper solution.

    Kinda frustrating. :/

    kind regards,

    schallgestalt

PS: This also appeared with a fresh and unupdated Traktorinstallation.

If there was an error message, I'd have already posted it. :/. I will try to capture a video to make my problem a bit clearer.

Perform, 'Check Consistency' and then 'Relocate Missing Tracks'.

ah ha! Yes im sorry. you DID say "Warning sign icon"
and this arrises under TWO instances.
    A) the file is not compatable with Traktor
    or
    B) the file is not located in the same place anymore (basically what Karlos is stating)

Personally i would also check your configuration for traktor related to the folders its set to scan on start up "The music folders for Traktor"
and see that they are EXACTLY as the new installation (re)installation will allow Traktor to understand

Thanks for trying to help me so far, I'm glad that such a great community exists.

Well, I think there aren't any consistency or file location problems. I recorded a short flic where you can see how I load a track from the trackbrowser into deck a, after that I'm trying to load exactly the same track into deck b, by drag & dropping it from the windows explorer which results in my problem.

PS: What I called a warning sign in my first post is shown as a sand clock in the video, whats kinda weird. Actually it's this symbol symbol.jpg

directed everything to the default folders (actually only the root dir had to be changed since I store all important Traktor data on en extra hard drive, redirected 'Music Folders' to my pseudo NAS. Still nothing. :/

I thought about copying over Traktor from my Thinkpad, but I think the registrysettings might kick me in the balls.
