Default Delay when starting track on Traktor Pro 2

This is driving me mad! I have recently changed from PC to Mac and have installed Traktor Pro 2 without issue. The problem is that I have a track playing as Master & synced and the track I want to mix in is synced with the cue right on the first beat.

When i hit play on the track i want to bring in, it jumps or there is a delay before the track starts which completely throughs out the sync!!!!

Any ideas how i can fix this???

Have you checked that all FX are switched OFF?

    ...especially DELAY.

Is it defo gridded correctly? Sounds like it's gridded to the off beat... is it just one particular tune or all tunes?

ha! FX is off and the beat grids are spot on - this is happening on all tracks as well! I am loading the tracks in from a playlist in iTunes.

Also, this only happens when the sync button is pressed - there are no skips if i press play with sync off and as soon as i hit sync, the track skips.

why are you turning on the SYNC on the track thats already set as MASTER.
If you press SYNC on the master track, it has NOTHING to sync to, because theres no alternate track playing.
You can only SYNC the track that isnt playing yet or the track you are going to bring in next.

That could be causing your delay or rather, since its Sync'ed its trying to do what you told it to do by SNAPPING both tracks offset.

Press SYNC NOT for the master but the second track and try to mix in. Also and im not sure on this one but i dont think you need to have quant on but do turn on SNAP otherwise SYNC is still going to be noticably off beat if you arent good enough with your timing

    Bottom line

SYNC = ON for track that is NOT the master
SNAP = ON to keep start time

Thanks everybody, I have snap off as it irritates me and Quantise is now on. I must admit, i just trusted that the grids were correct however, they are not (thanks MaxOne)!

Why are the grids being snapped on the offbeat?? Never had this before!
