I created an account so I could try to buy something. Since all initial replies have to be approved, it makes it a bit difficult to do
If new users could at least send PMs it would make that a little easier. At least able to send PMs to the mods.

hey you got a thread approved!
I posed one on this board yesterday.. I posed 5 last friday.
One post was approved right away, the rest are sitting in the abyss.
ha! Yea, when I saw this thread approved I thought my posts would be approved to. All I want to do is buy something that was posted last week. I don't care if my comments ever show up, if I could just send a PM to the darn guy that was selling!
I rarely post on forums - I probably read 5 forums for every 1 that I've actually posted in.
Still waiting for posts to threads to be approved...
did you pm a mod after 48 hours? no? then quit whining

Well, keep in mind that new users can't send PMs
Maybe that used to work, but now (prior to having your first 5 approved) hovering over a user's name doesn't show the 'send a private message link', and if you attempt to go to the PM page by typing in the URL directly (since all these forums use the same system) it would just give you the 'you don't have permissions...' screen.
