What program do i need for guitar hero?

Another question and then i'll buy mine Guitar Hero for our last big party in June.

Do i need a special adaptor for PS2 <-> USB?
I have checked out a few and some say it possibily won't work with wireless controllers.

I've tried this with the PS3 Guitar on XP and it works great. Just plug in the USB-dongle (included when you buy the guitar) and the pc will recognize it as a joystick. Install Rejoice (don't forget to reboot). Rejoice will help you convert to midi signals. Install Midi Yoke and choose for example Midi Yoke 1 as midi out in Rejoice and then Midi Yoke 1 as midi in in Traktor.

Problem I have is with the settings for "controller change", "note on", "note off", "toggle" and "wrap".

Sorry, but I am new to this. Anyone have a link that explains these?
