    As an avid listener to BBC radio, mostly 1Xtra, I can confirm that the DJs don't swear (some guests do), but they do play non radio edits of songs all the time.

    I meant that the laws are vague.

    Not your answers.

    And legal departments are useless. They say no when they really mean "we aren't sure and we are too lazy to find out. So we are not taking any chances."

    The laws aren't vague. The law is laid down pretty clearly by OFCOM and enforced by the Home Office.

    Also, it just so happens that I'm a BBC Broadcast engineer and I work in the R1 studios so I kind of know what I'm on about with this thread which is why I chimed in. I'll shut up now.
