    Default Pioneer DDJ-SR with Traktor

Anyone using this setup? If so, how is it working? I'm also considering the s2 mk2, but have heard a lot of horror stories about freezing. Also, the ddj-sr looks like it might be a little nicer.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Yes, I'm using it and it works perfectly. It's a lot better built than an s2 or s4. The only downside is that the jogs will never work as good as an s2 or s4. It's almost certain that this is broken on purpose by NI. It has nothing to do with the hardware, the jogs are perfectly accurate and responsive in Serato.

How exactly are the jogs not as good? Do they just not respond very accurately? How much does this affect your beat matching?

They work fine with decent latency, but if you do things like scratching it doesn't respond as fast as it should. Every non-NI controller used in Traktor suffers this fate.

Oh ok cool... they should be fine for me then. I don't do much scratching, but if I do, I'd rather use vinyl anyway. Thanks for the input!
