Default iTunes - Automated/scripted moving of one of multiple genre tags to the grouping tag?

Been going crazy tagging my music collection in a bracketed system similar to this DJTT article from January: http://www.djtechtools.com/2014/01/1...sic-libraries/

On top of normal genre classification I also added some more situational "crate" like tags e.g. [WARMUP], [PEAK] etc. But on some tracks there are so many tags it gets kinda messy and halfway through it dawns on me that a cleaner way to do it is leave the genre where it is and use the "Grouping" tag as the place to put all the crate like stuff.

So now I have songs that have like 5+ tags and would like to pull the non-genre ones out and put them in the grouping. Is there a script that does this? Doug's Scripts usually does the trick for stuff like this but I can only find functions that replace tags or move the entire tagging over to the grouping tag, not just parts of it. I'm on a mac btw.

Anyone have any thoughts on how I could automate this? Really trying to avoid doing 2000+ carpal tunnel friendly cut and paste keyboard commands.

    MP3Tag.

You might still have to do it by hand, but sorting/finding and re-ordering in MP3Tag is a breeze.
