Maschine for 4D Mixing?

Hey guys,
So I've tried looking around but having found any information on this.
I'm thinking about getting the NI Maschine, but since I don't have the setup to handle running Maschine software and TPro, I was wondering if using I could use it as an extra controller along with my VCI.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

ya. it shouldn't be a problem at all. your better off getting a couple of akai LPD8's or some other controller if you are just going to use maschine as a controller for traktor. i don't know your budget though.

Oops sorry for not making that clear.
What I mean is, I won't be able to use Maschine and TPro for DJing for a while (as I'd need another laptop and sound card). I want to get into beat making and all that good stuff, so Maschine would be great for that. Then I'd also use it for an extra controller for my sets.

hell yeah using as a secondary controller is a great idea especially since it gives visually feedback in the LCD's. Im getting a maschine and a second laptop so I can do a performance oriented DJ set. Production is also something that interests me more and more and having a groove box seems like more my style.

I use TSP with a VCI100SE and looking into getting a maschine also, looks like a good way into music production and can double up as a controller in DJ sets.

Just wondering if you have got one yet and how your finding it?
