Default There's no tempo fader on the Native Instruments S8...

Soooo how do you change the tempo?

I'm expecting that it's some knob or something, and you have to hold shift or something.

Does anyone know specifically how someone will change tempo on the S8?

Most likely hold down SYNC and twist the TEMPO encoder in the middle section like you would on a X1 MK2, I'm trying to get some early info from ze germans since a lot of people are wondering how this is done.

    Sync.

    DVS.

Probably Sync Button + the knob on each deck.

But, really, if you're beatmatching manually and not using DVS, I'm not sure why it would appeal to you.

I play lots of sets where I transition between songs that are +10bpm apart. I have to slowly increase/decrease the tempo during the song/transition, therefore, tempo fader plz.

A tempo knob would be nice, I'm sure it's there somewhere. A tempo ENCODER would be even better than a knob! Oooooo...

There is a tempo knob right in the middle of the middle section. I would assume this controls the master tempo.
for decks maybe shift and this know?

It'll definitely be like the X1 mk2, you hold down the sync button and twist the deck encoder and it changes in increments of +/- 0.1. Not sure if you can change how fine it is. Also, if you push the encoder then it jumps your tempo to 0.0.

Surprisingly good method for when you're trying to get things in the ball park area to then sync them and have them flow smoothly, but it's completely impractical for manual beatmatching due to the lack of fine tuning and the touch faders have a "throw" effect to them which means if you run your finger across them too fast, it's like back spinning the CDJ2000's on the lowest resistance setting.

Yeah....for what you want to do, there's a big tempo knob in the middle of the mixer.
