You don't need it. You just have to not slam faders and pay attention to what you're doing. Of course, it depends on the style some, but I haven't missed them. Like I said...they feel ham-fisted, especially on Pios.
That being said, I do use Traktor most of the time, and I use 2 of my effects units for filters. I'm debating adding in a mapping to use the same knobs for the xone EQ model (obviously only one at a time), since I like those a little better. Actually, the xone hi-mid is my favorite single EQ knob because of how it changes the emphasis of snare/hat grooves.
At any rate, my rane rotary should get in tomorrow, so I won't have to worry about them anymore. I'm going to keep the Traktor filters around, though.
Nope. Never cared. I'm not a turntablist, and I've never wanted to be one.

Have considered jumping ship onto Deckadance due to being able to be hosted in FL Studio as a VSTi, which could come in handy for live performances down the track, and as Deckadance is nowhere near as bloated as Traktor is getting. Going to keep sticking with Traktor for now, particularly if I get a Maschine to pair up with it and NI sort out a Maschine deck or at least make Maschine/Traktor integration more fluid and simple to set up.
