Hawtin Effect
Hey guys,
this has buggin me for a while now, hawtin always uses this one effect in his sets, i cant figure out how he does it and its really hard to descibe it here. il give it a shot though: the effect sounds kinda like the pioneer robot effect and once he starts it he increses the "pitch" (maybe better to say frequency i mean how "high" it sounds) building up a drop in itself. it completely distorts the original sound. if any of u guys have the song handy, assign the source by reboot has a similar effect at 4:17. any ideas? cant find it in traktor pro.
Cheers!

maybe its the Reverb effect... i use that alot to do what i think you are describing, but he is also using ableton in his sets, so it could be a vst that he is using in ableton....

yeah its definately similar to the reverb just much more intense. ive never used ableton so could be from there...

maybe the delay3 with the frr button pressed?

In that case he is using T3 delay effect without the Quant button and he is increasing the speed of the delay
