they are expensive in my area as well (California). Basically waiting for the right price and condition to make my purchase.
I did not know Facebook had a classified section, better yer, a DJ classified one. I will look into this. For convenience, do you have the link?
DJ: Pioneer DDJ-SX // Sennheiser HD 8 DJ
Production: Macbook 15" // Ableton // M-Audio Oxygen 49 MIDI Keyboard // KRK Rokit 5 x2
Soundcloud ii My Setup
Akai AFX, KRK eights, Ableton Push and X1 mk2.
Deejaesnafu is right. The RMX-1000 is really suited to certain styles of music and not so much others.
I think you have to give it a while to try. I just got mine, and I really like it, but I'm still learning how to use it. I tend to overdo the effects sometimes, and it makes my mixing sloppy, but (hopefully) I'll get used to it and master it. I don't want to judge the RMX-1000 too fast.
Here is the DJ Classifieds FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/djclassifieds/
LOTS of Tech 1200s on sale, but not all are great prices.
Bedroom DJ | Pioneer DJM-800 | Pioneer CDJ2000 and CDJ900-NXS | 2 x Mackie MR8MKII | Sennheiser Amperior
-korg volca bassline
-xone 42
-event studio monitors
-XDJ 1000s
-some kind of midi controller that has a lot of faders to control my mix downs in Ableton
Eventually some xdj 1000s. Maybe if street price starts going down a little on them.
