    Default suggested DJTT blog thread

i thought it might be fun and helpful to have people suggest ideas for things to cover on the blog. get some community interaction and some inspiration for the blog, in one shot.

heres a couple of my own ideas to get started:

    1. Do an article about a simple project involving a QWERTY keyboard brain and a toy of some kind to make a DIY midi controller. I know a lot of users would benefit from seeing how fun and easy it can be to get your feet wet with this approach. maybe an advanced follow up with arduino or a pi...

2.An article about organizing and promoting your own events. It would be great for people to learn about creating their own scene and taking things into their own hands to get gigs , rather than just rely on bar owners etc to get started around their area.( Theres more social and financial enrichment.)

3.more sound design articles. there were a couple that focused on layering kicks, and i think one on snares, but then it fell off. these were good articles and should be continued maybe once a month , what about more featuring bass design, leads, vocoder techniques, etc.

also it would be great to have a feature on transforming tracks in your DAW for playing live.

I would love to see an article on using the Beatbox feature in Ableton, where you can beatbox drum patterns and then use the sounds to trigger samples or something.

I heard about this, but i was never really able to figure it out.

I remember Mad Zach already did something like that. You should be able to find it on DJTT YouTube channel.

This is why we need to simplify the Forum and make it smaller.

This is related to site feedback. In fact, your thread has been posted in wrong section and we (mods) kept it there for for a bit time now before it has been moved in to appropriate sub-forum.

Sorry you didn't get much feedback on this topic - people are mostly posting their thoughts in the already existing Article Ideas section:
