ya know what, try not picking any tracks out before the show. Just go scrambling for the next track every transition. It usually keeps me VERY alert as your adrenaline will stay high. lol

Also makes the set much more exciting.

lol i had a friend who used to get high (pot, mushrooms) before he performed... he had some sort of relgious thing when busking across canada. he gave up drugs, but now he drinks before performing... some people feel the need.

I was in the same spot as well Kwal. I would smoke before and during, because i couldn't make the music flow without it. IDK don't do it anymore, but those were some crazy good mixes. lol

I used to smoke as well and did for many years but when started having kids have quit I sometimes wonder how it would go if I were to before hand again.... I recently got asked if I wanted to go out before a gig but declined offer as was unsure of how well I would do.... I will say things always flowed great when I did but that was years ago....
