Actually the remix deck have a reverse feature, You could drop a track in a slot then hit reverse.

Limit on the length of clips loaded to Remix Decks, though.

Reverse play along with vinyl stop/start are features that are regularly requested on various forums, no idea why they've still not implemented them.

yah its quite curious to me i would think it would be as simple as adding a mapping to play the deck backwards.

i was expecting someone to come in and say: "due to bla bla HID algorithmic complex scientific programmer ham salad, this feature is theoretically improbable in this current existence" or something.

the flux capacitor will not allow the modulation of reverse polarity

Go back to Traktor 3 ???

No idea why it was dropped in Traktor Pro btw altho they did include a way to make the deck play in reverse via the Turntable effects.

Check the "one button mappings" category in the maps site. There is one TP2 mapping that will do the trick.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to play an entire track backwards? For loops I can see the appeal, for entire tracks I can't.

same reason as loops... sometimes things sound cool backwards? and for finding that loop to play backwards its nice to play the whole track to find the place you would loop? some tracks also just take new form when played backwards, slowed down or sped up, or a combination. its just another creative tool that should be available.

CDJs and the DMZ 1200 play backwards so there must be other people that align with this thinking...

plus i hear if you play uptown funk backwards...you hear the ghost of marvin gaye.
