With digital DJing you either need to set your grids correctly OR you need to be able to beatmatch totally manually using only your ears, to get out of the problems caused by faulty grids.
These are your only two choices.

I make sure all my tracks are properly grided and saved within 24 hours of buying the tracks
Re-grid on the fly, then set another cue as a load point on the same spot. It takes seconds to do and you'll get through the tracks you're playing quicker than you think.
After a few gigs (yes I do mine while I'm playing) you'll look back on those few seconds spent on each track and shake your head at how easy it all was!
Also remember to hit the padlock so that it keeps the grid/bpm info, it's also a good visual to know what tracks you've done.
Main Gig Comp - MacBook Air 11" 1.3GHz i5, 4GB, 512GB, OS X 10.12.6
Gig Gear - TSP 2.6.8 & 2.11.2, Kontrol X1mk2 (x2), D2 (x2), S5, Xone:92, Xone:PX5, CDJ-2000 (x2), DDJ-XP1 ... Rekordbox DJ 5 with a few packs ...
Plenty of studio gear and not enough time ... and a few Nexo PA systems
^^agreed. People are making this way more difficult and time consuming than it needs to be.
Assuming your grid marker is cue point one:
Press cue point 1, delete, go to first beat. Set cue point, change to grid marker. That takes less than 10 seconds to do. And you should only need to do this on the rare occasions that Traktor gets it wrong (assuming that you aren't mixing live drum tracks).
MacBook Pro, HD25's, Midi-Fighter Classic, Pioneer DDJ-RX , Rekordbox
It takes 5-10 seconds to manually grid a track. Half the time i do it during a set, no biggy.

" I’m the Dude, so that’s what you call me. That or, uh His Dudeness, or uh Duder, or El Duderino, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing. "
Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll definitely look into this manual regrid solution.
Yesterday, I figured out how to do what I wanted...
- Press "Play"
- Turn on "Jog Touch" (this stops the track like a vinyl)
- Go to the first beat
- Turning off "Jog Touch" releases the vinyl, independent of any beatgrid information.
I don't even know how to re-grid using Traktor for iPad...so I just use my ears.
...
Have you actually tried turning off quantize yourself to see if it makes a difference? As you may know, it has already been suggested earlier in this thread. I tried it and it didn't make Traktor play when I asked it to. It changed the behaviour of laying Cue points and stuff, but not the Play button.
If this quantize option does work, then it looks like there are only four choices.
