I would only take this gigg if it was round the corner and no hassle for me to play.

I would do 1 of 2 things in this situation:
I know a few DJs who would play for 100 bucks and tits. I would refer him to them.

OR

I would tell him he can rent a couple speakers and use his iPhone. He obviously has no interest in having a real professional play for his event.

BTW, I love your response to them. I know I wouldn't show up for $150. Especially when I know I could make 150+ for less of a headache.
