Default drum machine / sequencer patterns

I'm looking for some drum patterns to program the nord beat app on my iPad, which I use with an iRig MIDI to play a drum rack in ableton live 9

this is the app I'm using:

    Holy shit that's a thing.

Drum patterns are only as good as the drum sounds, try doing trap 808 sub kicks with a 140 trance 4 to the floor, it'll sound like absolute garbage.

EDM only has one pattern friend, four to the floor, four to the snare, four to the hats.

not EDM as big room, but as tech house, techno, breaks, dnb, deep house(if there is any variation to tech house), trance

and then there are the fills/bridges/breaks for 1 or 2 bars, before back to the main beat / rhythm.
    long build-up sections too.

if you're looking for something simple, try searching the attack magazine "beat dissected" columns.

my friend has this book and there is a fairly steep learning curve if you cannot read sheet music. But if you can, that book is fucking amazing and has a lot of great ideas. i would highly recommend it if you're ever in a writing block.

@Djrickdawson you should check it out because techno/tech house all about the groove. while edm is all about shaving your chest and flower crowns

I had the same reaction. I'm intrigued.

Paired with a twister, and some reasonable sounds in a remix deck, it would be a ton of fun to play around with these patterns. It would certainly push me out of my comfort zone.

Still want to pair my twister with my MC-303, just for easy manipulations on the drums.
