dont force it, try starting another track from scratch and see where it takes you and what ideas you get out of that, theres been more than one occasion where i have combined elements from different tracks to make a new one. Failing that let it simmer for a week and come back to it or do something to take your mind off it and come back fresh faced. You will be suprised how some time out will work wonders for your creativity

    Work through it.

Most successful creatives will tell you that inspiration is a luxury. Work is what gets things done.

I think the last few posts just proved how we can loose the plot completely and start concentrating on other things and not on writing music!

I've not been doing it too long but just take a break and listen to something completely different.

Also just compose drum loops with weird perc sounds in... I've found just one weird melodic sound in the right place can trigger something else.

skate 3 has been my go to game when I find myself stuck. I tried a few different things that seem to help, like focus on working on my car.
