    Default Beat Block! (Writers Block)

Right now I'm currently having trouble staying focused on producing music. My creative flow came to a dead stop and I cant shake it. Anybody else have that problem and have any tips on how to get through it?

What I do when I hit writers block:

    - I don't stress over the fact that I don't have an idea. It's not a bad thing.
    - I listen to other genres of music I really like.. Kinda to give my ears a refreshing break from 4 to the floor kicks.
    - Play some Nintendo 64
    - Do something else creative, like make a good dinner.
    - Watch a few movies

These may seem weird, but you shouldn't have to force music onto yourself. Trying different approaches may help but sometimes you simply just need a good break.

Nintendo 64 dude? How old are you? Why don't you bust out the 2600 or Intellivision too?

As to OP - look for other forms of inspiration, both within and outside of music and sometimes breaks are good.

25, it was the first game console I ever got, and the only one I'll ever actually want to play at this day and age

Super Mario 64, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Mario Kart, Zelda, etc. Can it get any better? lol
