quick question about used maschine

if i buy a used maschine, do i have to buy any software or is it included with original serial number?

I believe only if the previous owner plans on keeping the Sofware it comes with. If you buy it, I believe the original serial number will still work. It can only be installed on 1 computer at a time. I have Traktor and it's the same thing with that.

As long as the seller has deactivated their license and you get the serial/activation number from them, should be good to go.. You can download the software, enter the number in Service Center and rock out.

just fyi there's a serial number for the hardware and another for the software so make sure he deactivates both thought i once saw the option to buy just the software but can't see it atm...

yah after reading up on this, im glad im in close contact with the original owner... had i seen a used maschine or other used NI gear at a pawn store or on craigslist... i mighta bought and fell victim. i wish there was a way to make people more aware of this, because i've never run into this kind of issue buying used gear before. ..dont get me wrong i understand WHY they do it, just have not run into this before.
