    Default Production Duos

after reading the DJ Duos thread, it got me thinking more about production duos, and how this works. i'm sure it's different for every duo, but anyone that knows or has done this before, can you give me an example of how this works?

Two dudes sit at a PC and take turns adding parts to the mix, talk about their opinions on how things sit in the mix and both work to make changes in the mix.

Usually one guy will work on the elements that he is strongest at while the other guy will work on the elements that he is strongest at so there is a synergy happening between the two people creating the mix.

I accept with infromation: Two dudes sit at a PC and take turns adding parts to the mix, talk about their opinions on how things sit in the mix and both work to make changes in the mix.

Yups, me and Dannyboy do this all the time.

ONe comes with a project and takes it with him the next time we meet.
    From there it's free game!

How about online collabs? Guess sending project files between computers is the way to go huh...
I used to link music in my signature but nowadays I don't.

Hmm, difficult unless you sync up all your resources (patches, sample libraries, etc.) The same concepts apply but songs can EASILY stray from its original feel and flow. Not saying this is a bad thing, but its not necessarily a good one.

In my experience you usually have one guy who is an engineering guru, but not much originality, and another guy who's the idea man, but not much technical know how.

Put them together and bam, match made in heaven.
