I have the NI Audio 2 DJ, and I could hear a difference, but it is not very noticeable, so don't fret about it if you don't want to spend the money on a soundcard.

Cirrus Logic DAC included into any NI Audio 2/4/8 have a really good sound and it can be used in big club, the cheap soundcard inside Spin have "another" sound and it's good for friends party or disco pub but please remember the cost of a Spin (Controller + Audio card) is cheaper then a NI audio 4 (audio card only).

Maybe go with the spin then and buy an Audio 2 at a later date.
