Default Map Midi to Mac Programs or Keystrokes?

So I have the Midi Fighter Twister that I we are using with Lightroom - and it is great!

Wondering if there is any generic mapping software that would allow me to map CC / CP etc .. to any program that I use?

example: Safari - scroll window, next tab
    PhotoShop - Brush Head Size

    etc..

    Thank you!

Have to admit I was hoping for something a little more modern

I think it's a bit too much to ask ... might have to figure out how to program some stuff myself !!

    Thank you!
