    Default Controller suggestions

I currently use the S5 when I Dj here in the states, but this summer I'm going to Greece to Dj, and I don't want to take it with me. I took it with me last summer when I went to DJ, and it was kind of annoying to travel with it. What do y'all suggest I get to make travel easier for me?

    thanks!!!

    Check out Akai AMX.
It's very portable has a sound card and there are several TSI's available in MAPS

(forgive my stupidity), but would I be able to mix straight off of that or would I need anything else, like the Akai Afx?

You would be able to use the AMX by itself. You could even use it with DVS (if you upgrade Serato DJ to include a DVS license).

A note about the AMX: it doesn't get very loud so it redlines pretty quickly. If you need the output to be louder, you should try running it though another mixer. If you're just looking for portable use and don't need it to get super loud on it's own, then it's a great bit of portable kit.

I think that since you have an S5, if i were you, I'll probably take an X1 and a Z1. Same program, same sound quality, maximum portability.

I think that Akai AFX/AMX are nice pieces of harware but they work with serato dj and you have and use traktor mostly.

So why take a controller that works with another software when you have the same NI hardware that work with the software you already have and use mostly?

alternately, if you are going to use a club mixer, you should consider an audio 2 NI (you could find it used for 50/60 €/$ ) and a X1

    good luck

With right mapping you can have all in one controller in such a small form factor. That's the beauty of Traktor.

Check out the mapping that I made in a while back: https://maps.djtechtools.com/mappings/4397

No need for AFX with this one
