Default Ableton Link: Control Tempo with Tracktor Deck

Hi DJtechtools community, I'm loving the Tracktor link function but the only real issue I'm having is that i can't make a track deck the master. Does anyone know if it is possible to control the tempo of the link with a deck and not the master clock? Thanks in advance

I did this recently - it definitely CAN be done. I was adjusting the tempo of a Traktor deck with a Technics Pitch Slider(DVS) and Ableton was following it.

I *think* it was just a case of setting the Traktor Deck as Master, and then adjusting the tempo there.

ALSO - I *think* that it DOES MATTER what order you click the LINK buttons on the software. (Traktor THEN Abelton, or Ableton THEN Traktor???)

Would love to know how you did it because theres nothing in settings that pertain to link and no matter what when the link button is pressed its impossible to assign track decks to master. They become grayed out no matter what, here is a screen shot:

Its also worth mentioning I'm using Maschine and Tracktor but it shouldn't make a difference.

Have you enabled SYNC on the Track Deck, then tried adjusting the tempo on that deck?

Yes. You can never adjust a synced tracks tempo unless its the master, link or no link.
Which is the issue i can't assign a track channel as master.
