Default Stupid question about a studio monitor replacement

So I've used a pair of Rokit 8's for years now and one of them finally needs to be replaced but the generation I own is no longer manufactured. Do you guys think it would make any difference if I only replaced the one with a newer generation or should I switch them both out? I don't care about aesthetics, I just want them to be equal in terms of sound output

    Thanks!

Both. With nearfields they're often sold as a matched pair.
