    Default Favorite Synth/Genre

What are your favorite synths, what genres are you using for them? maybe it is more relevant to say the sounds you make with them (ex. stab, atmosphere), but I thought that maybe this will discourage creativity.

The Wasp5 is an amazing synth thats pretty simple to operate. I use it about 60% of the time in my music production. Toxic3 is also another amazing one, but its a little difficult to understand so it takes some studying to get to know. Here is a track I did using only drum samplers and the Wasp5 without any sidechain effects(I say that so you can hear the clarity of the synth). The trebles a little high on this so just wipe that out of the picture.

Oh, and I do electro, lounge, deep trance.

+1 for Massive but it can be overwhelming...

I've also been riding Peach, a free NES synth with LOADS of classic gaming waveforms

There's also Toad for drums... I love these two little free VSTs
I used to link music in my signature but nowadays I don't.

i use massive, but its pretty complicated! i'm still getting the basics of synths down. i bought a copy of Computer Music Mag that teaches you the basics of synth sound design. it came with about 10 free VSTs that i have yet to use. i use it for nu disco/indie dance but it will work for anything.

massive and wasp. wasp used to be my 'go-to' synth, but now as i'm gettin more comfortable with massive i'm finding that massive has become my new 'go-to' synth.

i make bassline music... from hiphop to breaks to dubstep.

hmmm.....I'm going to have to definetly look into massive considering what you said Duerr. Sounds like a good synth from the sound of it. Anyone got any tracks theyve made using only massive? I've been trying to find a new synth to look into anyways.

btw, Does anyone know what David Guetta useslol? Just out of curiosity.
