Default Focusrite vs. Presonus vs. What else?

I'm looking for a $500-ish sound card with at least 4 stereo ins and outs and at least one optical in. Don't need a ton of mic pres. Right now I'm looking at Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 and the PreSonus AudioBox1818 or the PreSonus Studio 192. Has anyone had experience with these cards and can you speak to the quality of DA/AD conversion? What about other quality issues? Any other cards you might recommend?

Attack Magazine has a good top ten of sound cards. They, normally, now what they are talking about.

I have a 1st generation 18i20 that I had used in my studio and now use it for DJing. Love the unit - nice and clean, plenty of I/O, and even Midi. The interface on your computer can be a bit confusing at first, but once you hget used to it and lock in your templates, all is good. Keep in mind the 2nd gen 18i20 has the same I/O, but better converters and sample rate for better sound.
