Default Sound lost clarity- Please Help

Hey.... I have a DJ gig on sunday but my sound system seems to have lost clarity. I have tried different speakers and different speaker cables but its the same. It gets worse when two tracks are together.

Im in a serious panic as I really need to work on a set. Its the same with all four channels.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this that is not the speakers or speaker cables. Any help would be seriously appreciated.

    I am using, tractor, a mac and a djm800.

    1. Tell us how you are routing everything and list any other gear you are using.
    2. Test the mixer standalone without using Traktor (plug in a phone to the mixer using RCA > Minijack)
    3. Test Traktor without the mixer (Headphone output of mac to speakers)
    4. You don't mention if the speakers are powered or is there an amplifier involved.

Its should be pretty easy to nail down which component of your rig is at fault.

Try double checking your audio card settings and your latency setting.

Your audio card should at least be 44.1kHz at 16-bit(CD quality) or even higher if your card/laptop can support it.

Also check your latency setting. I believe 512 is the default. If it is set too low and your laptop can't handle the processing the sound will be distorted.
