    Hi,

    How do i get started?

    -What is a beginner controller that can support textbook effects?

    -What are some textbook effects? Is there a list of 10?

    What exactly is the question? What setup are you using as is? Don't get bogged down doing effects like

    [QUOTE=ZackBrock;759198]Hi,

    Go with what you can afford there are literally a ton of controllers out there and choosing one to start with can be a little daunting, it will come down to what software you choose to use, controllers can be midi mapped to other software but for a new starter I would recommend going with something native to the software you are using. General run of the mill effects are things like reverb, delay, filters, I would suggest experimenting as a lot of software these days come with more effects than any one DJ will use. To be honest I don't use a great deal of effects in my DJ sets, it is easy to over do it and they can get old fast if a DJ is twisting knobs every 2 minutes or during every breakdown, subtle use is the way forward with effects or saving them for that special moment in your set
