Default Setting up my home studio.

Hi all, have tried looking for videos online and also searched the web for a good year now. I have a setup at the moment consisting of a Traktor Kontrol s4 mk2, imac running traktor pro and krk rokit speakers connected to the s4. Now all in all this is a great setup apart from a buzzing noise I have coming through the speakers. This is an issue I need resolving but....

I have an Traktor audio 10, 2x cdj 1000 mk1s (been in the attic for a good few years), midi fighter 3d and looking to add to this a midi keyboard hopefully before Christmas. I would like to incorporate all this into my current setup, the problem is how do I go about running everything through the audio 10 without any issues.

I am also currently on a music production course and will be using Ableton to produce tracks as well so looking for someone on here to help me setup the s4, midi fighter, 2 x cdjs (with timecode control), audio 10, setting up Ableton with the midi fighter and stop the buzzing noise if possible. I know that this a lot to ask for my first post, someone out there please help me.

    Thank you in advance.

Sounds like you have a ground loop issue. I suggest investing in a power conditioner. Ground plugs can also work in a pinch, but are not recommended for safety reasons.

if you are running rca straight to your rokits, you might need an audio interface for a balanced output

I'm using the native instruments audio 10 for the interface, just not sure how my cdjs will work with traktor pro suing the timecode if its through the rca leads. Can you tell i'm a newbie at this tech stuff. lol

Why are you using the Audio 10 when you have the S4?

I wasn't aware i could add my cdjs to the back of the s4 until just now, the last time i used an s2 for my controller. i take it if i run the cdjs into the back of the s4 this will eliminate the audio 10. What happened to the old school of the two turntables and a mixer lol Thank you happydan. i feel foolish now

You can download the timecode CD tone to burn to CDs for your CDJs. As long as you have Traktor Scratch Pro, it'll work just like any other DVS.

    Rokit RCA inputs are unbalanced.
