    Default Got asked to DJ X-mas Night?

    Since I ask you guys everything else I figured I would ask your opinion on this one. I got asked to DJ X-mas night. I Kind of feel iffy sence it is X-mas and all. My girlfriend said I was crazy even considereing it. What do you guys think?

    Are you more or less concerned about the turnout at the venue since it's Christmas? I've DJ'd on X-mas night a few times and the turnout was great (mind you they were parties catered to a specific ethnic clientelle (i.e. Greek night, etc., although I'm not Greek...lol)).

    If you don't feel like doing the gig, then don't do it. Simple as that.

    I think it all comes down to the crowd... will be a restaurant where you will have to play vomitive xmas tunes and other mainstream s****, or will it be a club where you'll mixing your usual blend of electronic music and the only difference will be the santa hats people will be wearing?

    On Xmas nights people are in a very upbeat mood and it's pretty easy to make a very memorable night, even more in a club environment.

    Will also DJ that special night, and i did so several times before. It´s always been great fun though lot´s of people turn up late.

    Yah it is at a club and I'll be spinning electronic music. And yes Im worried about the crowd that will show

    Is it a club that usually plays electronic music? Or it's a top 40 place with more commercial electronic music?

    how long are you going to spin? the whole night?

    you might be surprised. might have a good crowd, it is a friday night... I have a gig the night after Christmas...


    friends in town to see family they usually all go out before they have to go back.
