    Doesn't MiK do that?

These are short loops (.wavs) - MiK gets the key, but doesn’t get the tempo (returns a blank). Strangely, if I convert to .mp3, MiK gets the key & tempo - BUT (big fucking but) - converting .wav loops to .mp3 adds silence to the start and end of the loop, so it doesn’t bloody loop any more!!! X-(

Important lesson here - NEVER CONVERT .WAV LOOPS TO .MP3!!!

Are the BPM fields already tagged? If so, MP#tag will do it.

    Wavs have tags now. :-p

I use MIK for sample management. Havent had an issue on anything that has at least 4 beats in the break for bpm detection. For anything smaller, you may just need to find the bpm manually. Sucks when doing in bulk, but its one of those things where you do it once and done then just do it manually from then going forward for every new sample you record.

There is no metadata in a WAV file. Try FLAC, OGG, or MP3.

Actually with BWAV there is metadata but no DJ software that I know of takes advantage of it.

Just to confirm - I want the BPM added to the FILENAME, not added as a tag...
