I have Audio Technica LP120 turntables which have built in pre amps. What’s the correct way to connect them to a Numark MK 6 mixer. Should I be using the phono, line or other input??

I’ve tried connecting to the phono input. This creates the most awful distorted sound. I’ve heard it suggested that I use the line input as the turntable has a pre amp. I tried that and it was dead. There is a line/phono switch on the back of the turntable??
if it has pre-amp in then you wont need to use phono. use line.
Use Line. Make sure the phono/line switch is set to Line.
