    Default Xone 92 sound levels

I've recently bought a Xone 92 and when setting the sound levels for the channels.

I'm running the main speakers through mix 1. Now my issue is that the levels running through the channels seem to be very high (on the metres) If I turn the level knob to zero there is still sound coming out of the channel (with the channel fader up). Is this normal for a xone 92? On my pioneer mixer when I turn the trim to zero there is no sound coming out of the channel when the fader is up.

I'm trying to set the gain structure but its proving very difficult as the metres are so high.

Any help with this would be great as its really confusing me!!

The manual says to aim your channel levels at 0dB with +6dB peaks. You could probably comfortably push them to +3dB average, but you'll have to test that.

Yes I understand that but should thereally be sound coming out when the line knows are twisted to zero? They're at the 9 0 clock mark and the level coming out is then 0 to 3+ decibels. Does that sound about right?

Maybe it's because I'm used to the pioneer being silent at zero, it's thrown me a bit

I think that's how they're meant to be. They're just trims, not secondary volume controls.

There doesn't seem to be an issue because gain knobs are not meant to be at a certain position.
