    Its not relevant that the number of NI users has doubled. We are discussing Traktor.

    Traktor and NI are, in my view, two different things. Traktor is losing users every week, ongoing for years.

    It's been my suspicion that NI's music production side is more profitable than the DJ side.

    I think that the struggle is going on there at the level of influences of different companies and ideologies. Writing a good program is pretty easy for smart person or team, but they don't. The reason is not in their narrow thinking, they do not want to do this because of the restrictions lowered from above. Even if DJs on the forum can understand this, obviously with 105% they themselves know all this.
