I bought it and am very proud to do so. Love that song and used it alot at 16ish when my parents pissed me off. I'd slam my door pick up my drum sticks blast RATM outta my speakers trash my kit and shout it out. Ahhh....Good times.
Why do people keep bringing this up? Yes the company got the money in the end but this whole campaign was about rewarding ART over a carefully constructed commodity. For me I couldn't care less where my money went after I bought the record but I'd gladly spend the £1 on the track as a demonstration against Music being used as a money generator first and Art second, even if that money go's straight to the company because of the principle. (Damn the irony!)...and Sony/EMI won in the end
Im not a big fan of radio edits of songs either. Can you imagine a painter being asked to cut a 20cm border around his painting off so it can be packaged better and sold?
