    Default Replace crossfader with buttons

    First post

    Hello All

I have a denon mcx8000, the xfader is dead...easy to replace but a thought popped into my head about switching it for buttons

Taking it out there is three wires, so in my limited electrically minded knowledge thought that shorting those two wires would just mute the channel left or right dependant on what wire was put to the ground??

    unsure if that reads ok

    this is the denon fader

Well ok to the 70 viewers thanks for your time

If you wish to do the same

ADC is what you or I would call a ground

    GND is left
    ACC is right

    or vice versa

will post the mod when my switches arrive x

Yoo that doesn't sound right, VCC should be your + voltage (usually 3.3v or 5v) GND ground and ACC your signal. So connect GND to ACC for the one end and VCC to AVV for the other. Throw some resistors in there so you don't accidentally shortcircuit when pressing both buttons at the same time.

Thank you for the reply and yes...you are correct

I think for now I'm just gonna go with the one button

Would a diode be a better option over a resistor? for later mods
