Default DJ record from Zoom H6essentials too loud and with resonance/buzzing

    Hi guys!

I'm trying to record a DJ set for YouTube and other platforms.

I chose the Zoom H6 Essentials recorder for this.

We play classically from Pioneer CDJ 2000 players and PIONEER DJ DJM-450 two-channel mixer.

But the final audio track/record is horribly loud. At the beginning of the record (before pressing "play") I hear resonance/buzzing (probably it is slightly even during the record).

The recorder and mixer are connected by cable to the xlr inputs on the recorder on the left side marked 1 & 3, and to the mixer by cinch to MASTER 2.

When playing, we have the volume on the mixer set at MASTER LEVEL and TRIMs to exactly half - maximum to the orange numbers.

The output audio track has parameters:
Bitrate: 3,072 kb/s; Sample size: 32 bits; Sample rate: 96,000 kHz; Volume: -12.3 dB

Could someone please give me feedback on this setup and interfacing, if it is ok? Any idea for the reason of the resonance at the beginning? Or can everything be just mastered afterwards?

    Thanks a lot.

#1. Do you have a clean signal out put? If you don't the noise is coming from your end of things, not the interface.

    #2. check and replace cables.

I use restream.io to live stream. It takes a little messing with gains to get a good clean signal.
