    Default Traktor question

    Hey guys,

I'm new to Traktor and have noticed something weird that occurs when I click on an action button in the track window or effect window (play, cue, cup, delay, etc.). As soon as I click the button, the requested action is processed along with a keyboard note sound that is activated, like if I were playing on a piano.

I've replicated this behavior on both Traktor LE and Pro, using MAC and PC and using built-in audio and an Audio 2 DJ. So I really think its a setting in the software.

Does anyone know how to disable this?

I just disabled all the system sounds in my Windows PC. I still hear the notes in Traktor

So weird. The only thing i can think of in the program itself that would make a sound is the ticker.

I think this has to deal with the use of MIDInotes.

Are you using any other soundapps next to Traktor?

What are midinotes? I'm only using Traktor. No other sound apps installed.

MIDInotes are MIDI note messages that are sent by your MIDIcontroller.

I usually tend to use MIDI CC messages.

Set your midi input and output ports in the controller manager. A midi signal is being routed to your soundcard's midi audio atm causing the piano sounds.
