2 person monitor solution?

2 person monitor solution?

When I’m djing together with a mate, we stumble on a headphone cueing problem: I don’t want the sound as loud as he does when monitoring. What we’ve got now is a passive hp splitter that’ll split the mixer’s cue signal. So that’s why we’re looking for a solution to monitor from one mixer, but with different volume levels.

I’ve been looking around for solutions for this; and thusfar I have only found this:

Is this really the only thing existing to solve my problem? It’s a little too much actually.. :disappointed:

thx

It’s only 20 bucks from zzounds. I don’t think you’re going to find a two way headphone amp for a much lower price.

Booooooo Behringer is teh suck. I think ART has an alternative. Could be similar quality, but at least it won’t have the stigma of coming from a company that continually produces crap.

Yes, i’ll h8 on them for all eternity =)

+1 :stuck_out_tongue:

Thats pretty much the only way your going to be able to use the same monitor channel and have different volumes.

Behringer sucks, but it’s $20. It’s a good test model. Better to get it for $20, it works, use it till it breaks, and then get something better than spend the $50 or $60 for a more powerful model and have it turn out it’s not what you need at all

Fact is, we know we need something like that  Just something that’ll split with seperate volume control

my soundcard has 2 headphone outes so I am sorted

focusrite saffire  works a treat

What you are looking for are Headphone Amps, just google that and you can have a pick of all the ones you want.

Behringer is known for crap, but this isn’t exACTLY An expensive $400 mixer you’re buying here you know. If it finally breaks or burns out, you can replace it with something that is more trustworthy having know what exactly you’re looking for the next time.

Pro, thx a lot for the info!
