3 traktor controlers. Which one to buy?

Hi. I’m looking for buying a traktor controler and i’ve been thinking for a long time but i cant make my mind about them. I’m thinking about “vestax vci 100mkII”, “denon mc 3000” and “NI traktor kontrol s2”. They all are very good controlers in almost the same price range. Can you help me and give your opinion about them all, let me know which one you think is the best!

Thank you very much!

s2 integrates extremely well with Traktor and the software is included. Love mine but it is a little plastic.

I can’t comment on other 2, but s2 is a safe bet.

If you can go to a shop and try them out

Both the VCI 100 II and the MC 3000 will be much more durable and better built than the S2.

VCI-100 is far too basic, MC3000 is far too small, and the S2 is far too plastic. If you ask me, none of them are “very good controllers”; although I suppose it depends on what particular aspects of a controller you value as to whether or not that’s true FOR YOU.

Far too small is a matter of opinion.

I have limited desk space and love the compactness of the Denon MC3000.

mdcdesign is 100% correct, it’s what you need. They’ll all work wonderfully.

Personally I’d go S2 if you’re looking to control Traktor. Plasticky, sure, but the layout is perfect for Traktor. Everything just works well.

Reloop Jockey is a great Traktor controller and built like a tank.
Don’t discount the Terminal Mix 2 either.

I would suggest spending a little more and getting an S4. You wont regret buying the s2 either.

Go for the s2!!!

Even though its made of plastic, the build quality is excellent. (plastic doesn’t mean its bad quality)
its small size makes it light weight and fits any club environment.
and the layout is perfect for traktor. i myself use the s4 and it never failed me before
GO FOR THE S2!!!

The build quality of the S2/4 is not “excellent”. I would put it at about average for MIDI controllers.

The S2 also lacks filter knobs, which was a surprising oversight considering it’s a core Traktor feature.

Go for the MC3000. It is built like a tank, layout is good…dedicated filter & gain knobs for each channel. Personally, I LIKE that it is not huge, it makes it easier to transport.

Yikes, I never realized that. That would’ve been a deal-breaker for me… glad to have my S4.
